Industry data
$192
average cost per plumbing lead from Google Ads
A lead you paid for and didn't pick up still counts as spend. Nights and weekends are where most of those go missing.
Industry data: 99 Calls, “Best Home Service Niches for Google Ads in 2026”, 100+ Google Ads campaigns and 2,600+ leads, January 1 to August 7, 2026. One agency's managed accounts, not a neutral survey. Treat it as a guide.
Where the money leaks
Burst pipes don't keep office hours. If your ads run all weekend but the phone isn't covered, you're paying top price for calls nobody takes.
Without call tracking split by campaign, you can't tell whether the drain ads or the water heater ads are paying for themselves. Neither can Google's bidding.
A water heater quote and a flooded basement are different searches with different value. Lumped into one campaign, the cheap clicks win the budget.
Where plumbing sits
Every trade pays a different price for a lead, and converts clicks at a different rate. Knowing yours tells you whether your account is paying too much, and how much a missed or untracked call really costs.

Every search behind your clicks in the last 90 days, with what went on DIY, supply-store and job searches.
Whether calls from ads, your website and your Business Profile are each counted, and whether short wrong-number calls are filtered out.
Whether emergencies, drains, water heaters and sewer work each have their own budget, or fight over one.
Whether you only show to people inside your service area, or to anyone who has searched for it from anywhere.
Emergency searches happen on a phone. We check the number is the first thing they see, in the ad and on the page.
From real accounts
From our own weekly reviews and first audits in October 2026. Client names removed.
4 of 16
accounts had a conversion go quiet in one week
In a single week of October, our review flagged tracking that had stopped recording in 4 of the 16 accounts we manage. Nobody gets an alert when that happens. We check every week.
$147
on one keyword, zero leads
“Finish basement” was pulling in DIY searchers for a remodeler: 17 clicks in 30 days, no calls, no forms. Our weekly search term review caught it and it was paused.
$291
on two pages that never produced a lead
A dumpster rental account was sending paid traffic to two pages with no tracked leads in 30 days, while calls were set to count every repeat as a new lead. Both found in a first audit.

$56 per qualified call, July to September 2026. A call only counts if it lasts 60 seconds or more, and weekend emergencies run as their own campaign. The same call tracking we set up for contractors.
“Muzz really knows what he's doing, very professional and kept us updated throughout. We were honestly quite slow on our end, took time sharing access and responding due to business stuff. But he stayed patient and never made it an issue. Got everything live once we sorted our side and results have been good, calls are coming in. Recommended.”
“After trying a few people and not seeing results, Muzz actually made my ads work which is great! He did an excellent job, his rates were reasonable and most importantly you actually get the results you pay for. The results have lead to actual sales not just interest.”
“He's very smart and on top of things. I enjoyed his quick responses and knowledge of things. Even though I was a rookie in the Google Ads world. He's the real deal. Highly recommended.”
How we work
We don't rebuild a campaign until we understand why the current one is failing. Search terms, match types, tracking, quality scores, landing pages. You get the findings in writing whether or not you hire us.
Tightly themed ad groups, deliberate match types, negative keyword lists from day one, and conversion tracking wired up and verified before a single ad goes live.
Controlled budget, daily search term review in the first two weeks. We cut what wastes and double down on what books. This is where most of the savings come from.
Once cost per lead is stable and predictable, we push budget into the winners and expand into adjacent keywords, locations, and campaign types.

Questions
Read-only access to your Google Ads account. We send an access request from our manager account, you approve it in a couple of clicks, and you can remove it whenever you like. We never need a password.
A short recorded video walking through your account and a written list of fixes, ordered by what is costing you most. It's yours to keep, whether or not you hire us. No sales call needed.
Not always. If nobody can take the call, we'd usually pull ads back for those hours or point them at a form that promises a first-thing callback. The check shows you which hours are paying off.
No. Management is month to month. The ad account is in your name, so the campaigns, data and history stay with you if we ever stop working together.
No, and be careful with anyone who does. Results depend on your market, budget, pricing and how fast you answer. What we commit to is a clean account, call tracking you can trust, and reporting on cost per lead and cost per booked job.
The audit covers your Google Search campaigns. If you run Local Services Ads too, we report them separately so you see what each one brings in, rather than one blended number that hides both.
Yes. Tell us your service area and the jobs you want more of, and we'll tell you straight whether Google Ads makes sense for your budget and what we would build first.
